PLEASE NOTE : I’m still working on this post so please excuse any discrepancies or unedited sections. I’ve posted it so I don’t lose what I’ve done so far.

Here we are almost 1.5 years into the new reality of an apparent planet wide effort to battle a virus. Life is getting weirder all of the time. Science Fiction has become a reality, so subliminally that no-one noticed. The basic concepts touched on by George Orwell almost 70 years ago have permeated our social structure in the same way a child’s growth goes unnoticed by those who see him/her every day and only observed by distant relatives who  visit every few years.

I have no doubts that the Covid 19 virus is real and that it has the potential to not only kill susceptible individuals  as well as having a profound effect on some individuals on a long term basis. I have no doubt that the poor farmers in India are suffering, not able to access medical help and support.

It seems that the press are continually looking for a new country to turn the spotlight towards. That we have some weird and morbid curiosity about someone else’s suffering and pain.

That’s what new viruses do.

But if our immune systems are not prepped, trained and ready to fight the virus then the outcome is obvious.

Our bodies have literally trillions of cells which are in constant communication and interaction with each other but even though it’s almost beyond imagination we each host about 10 times more bacteria, viruses, flora and other living cells that apparently play an even greater role in our health, immune response and general well being.

Modern mainstream medicine has only recently started to scratch the surface when it comes to the simple logical fact that what we put into our bodies will determine our health.

Heart disease and cancer kill far more people than anything else that assails mankind. Year in and year out. Why aren’t we applying the same emergency status to these 2 killers that prematurely takes the lives of countless humans every single day of every single year?

I was personally diagnosed with cancer in November 2020 and have done countless hours of study and research into health, potential remedies, lifestyle changes, diet and basically anything that I can poke a stick at in relation to the cause and treatment of cancer.

Based on current observations, the fruits of my research and hard work have been very relatively successful.

The potential to decrease the numbers who fall to these 2 deadly diseases is huge. It would cost an infinitesimal amount to address them compared to what we currently spend on treating the symptoms and suppressing the effects of these ailments.

We always seem to wait until the horse has bolted before we fix the barn door.

Wouldn’t it be more constructive to put the money, time and effort into working oil and creating good health.

One could argue that our financial institutions and well being as a society are based on the health industry, the large food conglomerates, the powerful pharmaceutical companies, weapons manufacturers et al. If we took a different approach jobs would be lost and the stinking rich might lose some of their wealth but other more gentle and worthwhile activities would generate more jobs and possibly a better lifestyle for millions of people.

What makes it weird is the planet wide response to Covid 19. How easy has it been to create a totally new reality so quickly and so completely? It’s a bit like we react to new threats as a cytokine storm does to an apparent threat inside our body.

Fuck the collateral damage. Just bomb the shit out of the perceived danger. A few innocent casualties don’t really matter in the bigger picture.

The deaths that have occurred as a result of this new virus are horrifying but the numbers fall far short of the staggering numbers associated with cancer and heart disease and the other “manufactured” illnesses and ailments of the modern age.

“Not being a biochemist, trained scientist or medical researcher or immunologist may not give me the right to have an opinion but I do have one based on my own observations and thought processes. I want to stress here that the following rant is simply the viewpoint of myself, one of the 7 billion plus inhabitants of the planet. I have spent the past 6 months battling cancer and have invested hours of my time and a small fortune into potentially curing myself. I can’t conclusively prove that my actions have helped but anecdotal evidence is good enough for me. The results are observable and speak to me”

Entering some new pharmaceutical into the equation to attempt to bolster our ailing immune systems is a very mainstream response.  It may or may not pay dividends. Some parts of our society and economy will make huge profits.

The press will have agendas and opinions and will circulate stories about dying people, striking fear into the populace. Someone will create stats that prove that the mass vaccinations are working. Statistics are only useful if they are used intelligently and logically, balancing out the different aspects of the situation so the data gleaned from them can be used to improve a situation.

What the human race tends to do in most emergencies is to become illogical.

Could it be the underlying planetary deterioration of our overall health that is the underlying cause of our weak response to this virus?

In the last 200 years we have pretty much destroyed the soil upon which we grow the food to feed ourselves. All in the name of progress . We have polluted the oceans on which  we rely for a natural balance on our planet. These are the things that are an integral part of the finely balanced eco-system that planet Earth has evolved over millions and millions of years.

When you have a successful family recipe that has fed generations and supplied hundreds of meals, you don’t change it do you? A meal that is nutritious as well as tasting good and sustaining a family through generations. What is going to happen if some smart arse decides to change the ingredients or the technique that has been foolproof for so long. What if their motivations are selfish and they want to save a few pennies which might land in their own pocket. What of the future generations that continue to eat the meal and who are convinced that it is the same meal that grandma made 50 years earlier. What if the meal now poisons rather than sustains?

We really fuck things up. We let our leaders make decisions that will effect us for 100’s of years into the future. Leaders who know very little about health, agriculture, how the body works. They are generally fat, unhealthy specimens who eat too much rich food and drink too much alcohol. They  rub shoulders with heads of large corporations. We listen to researchers who are being paid by the very vested interests who are contributing to the problems in the first place. We allow big corporations to lobby governments and to rape the earth in the name of progress and financial viability. We let people use statistics as weapons to prove that this progress is somehow forwarding the best interests of the human race.

The health/medical/pharmaceutical industry is looked upon as a benevolent group of people who have our interests as their main priority and the giant pharmaceutical companies that lurk in the shadows will apparently do anything possible to invent new drugs to make higher profits as opposed to forwarding the health of mankind.

We allow governments to put our tax money into projects that will further enhance the profits of the big money making conglomerates instead of supporting teachers, researchers, farmers and unaffiliated scientists who are smart and brave enough to keep looking at how things have worked naturally for millions of years, how we have fucked the natural balance up and how we can restore the natural equilibrium.

Nature evolves in a certain direction for good reason. We profess to “love God” and honour his prophets who have spoken his word at the same time as turning our backs on the sheer elegance and beauty of the supremely powerful simplicity of nature.

The truth generally gets buried under so many layers of complexities that it is almost impossible to see. We look for higher levels of complexity when we should be looking at the power and strength of simplicity.

Maybe every now and again the human race needs some sort of or acute stress to force it to strengthen itself. Because let’s face it. One of the main reasons  our physical existence is to proliferate and survive as a species into the future.
