Dr Peter Eng : Power and Passion
On Friday November 12, 2021 I was given the terrible news that the TGA had suspended my doctor, Peter Eng. Peter is an 83 year old saint who doesn’t need to spend his days giving his patients hope and helping people beat cancer and the many other debilitating diseases that are essentially caused by greed and lack of understanding of how our bodies work and what we should be doing to keep them healthy and well. Most other 83 year olds are either locked up in nursing homes or sitting at home reading airport novels and eating scones and in some sad cases being stuck sometime in the past while not even recognizing those who they love.
From where I stand Peter has a driven passion to share his knowledge and personal experience with his patients, young and old to give them the tools and treatments to improve the quality of their lives and in many cases to help them beat their potentially debilitating and fatal diseases.
I ask a question of the reader. “What would you do if your doctor told you that you had cancer? The same could go for Parkinson’s Disease or any one of the crippling diseases that we in this affluent society have wreaked upon ourselves through ignorance, bad luck or just plain personal abuse.
From my own experience, which is all I can talk from, this diagnosis is devastating. I went into a spin, fear, acceptance, anger, uselessness, apathy, a desire to fight, a willingness to grasp at any advice that any “expert” is willing to give you.
I’m not going to delve into my own experiences here but needless to say this was one of life’s “sliding door” moments and I was one of the lucky ones because I went through the right door.
It took me a month to find Peter. Ironically, the person who introduced me to him was Mal Hooper (Oxygen). Even more ironically both of these brave and passionate men have now been attacked by the TGA.
I’ll keep this dissertation as simple as possible but honestly the journey I have been on in the past 12 months has been anything but simple.
First the good news. Because of the help, advice, treatments and support that I received from Dr Peter Eng I am now cancer free and even better, I am confident that with personal discipline and responsibility I can stay that way and live a long and healthy life. I turn 70 in February 2022 and as I approach that milepost I can honestly say that I feel and look better than I have in decades thanks to Dr Eng and the other support team that I assembled to help me navigate my cancer treatment.

I say this with confidence. I say this anecdotally and empirically, which is more than enough truth for me as it is based on results and observation. If it hadn’t of been for Dr Eng I would have more than likely still had active cancer which would have possibly metastasized into other parts of my body and eventually killed me.
He gave me hope, confidence, a sense of feeling supported, an ongoing non-toxic treatment that helped my own body do its job to defeat the angry cancer cells.
From my heart I say “How dare some government body even consider banning this man from treating and helping people like me!”
Governments and bureaucrats have absolutely no god given right to stand between me and a well intentioned doctor who has the fortitude and passion to help me regain my health.

The level of cognitive dissonance that this creates is so immense that it actually hurts me physically to simply know this level of madness could possibly exist.
Yes, I am a member of a larger society and yes, I believe that we sometimes need rules to protect us as a group but I scratch my head when I see these same “powers that be” condone alcohol, toxic processed food that poisons our bodies, some pharmaceutical “cures” that create immense side effects all in the name of commerce and profits. I’m not a radical person but I am a person who feels that my health is my own responsibility and I firmly believe that I have the right to pursue whatever treatments that I trust based on the information I have personally studied and that I believe will work for me.
If there were more brave and intelligent doctors in the same mould as Dr Peter Eng our society would be in a far healthier condition and our hospital beds and government coffers would be in a much better shape.
As individuals who have the honour and good luck to live in a free and democratic country like Australia we have the right to choose who treats us and with what they treat us with. All I have ever seen in Dr Eng’s rooms is optimism and hope. The people who I met have all decided to live and are willing to do whatever it takes to stay alive and consequently recover. If not recover fully to at least slow down whatever is affecting them.
Maybe I am a single voice and am powerless against a government body like the TGA but I challenge them to question me and to investigate my own personal journey that I have travelled over the past year.

Oh Gary. You are inspirational!! I have read your story and it brought me to tears with the total idiocy of our medical system and your triumphant journey. Bloody Big Pharma and our government have so much to answer for. Long live the awesome Dr Peter Eng – and hopefully he can continue his incredible life’s work through his VAXed assistants. Stay well – you certainly look healthy, happy and strong. AX20
Thanks for writing this. I can’t believe this is happening to Dr. Eng
Wow, why did they do that? I couldn’t speak more highly of my treatment from Dr Eng.
I hope & pray that all Australians read this amazing story. It echoes with such clarity my own experience with Doctor Peter Eng. It felt like I was reading my own life experience, amazing. We belong to a very lucky group. I have no doubt that all of Doctor Eng’s patients would read their own story in what you have written here.
Gary I can’t thank you enough for sharing your experience and writing this powerful acknowledgement of a true life saver. I owe my life to Doctor Peter Eng. Without his guidance, I dread to think what would have become of me.
If anyone reading this has any influence to stop this insane suspension of Doctor Peter Eng’s medical license, I implore you to please get involved. We cannot lose what valuable time we have left with Doctor Peter Eng.
Hi Craig I’m in Bali at the moment. I’d love to touch base with you when I get back to Melbourne in mid December. It’s so hard to find like minded people when it comes to natural methods of treating cancer. Regards Gary
“While I was in Bali recently I received an e-mail from a lady who had stumbled across my blog, in particular the section on cancer. She reached out to see if I would be willing to get together with her to talk about my experiences with keto and cancer when I got back to Melbourne. We arranged to meet yesterday. I’ve had enough people contact me over the past couple of years to have made the effort I put into writing my blog well and truly worthwhile although I have now reached the point where I can no longer allow myself to become emotionally invested in the plight of others. It’s a big commitment, you can put hours of work and communication into attempting to help somebody only to feel frustrated by their inaction or apparent lack of willingness to travel the hard road of research and discipline that one needs to follow to take your own condition by the horns and wrestle with it, to take a look at alternative options even though the mainstream will do whatever it can to make you feel silly, frivolous, foolish, desperate and possibly even guilty.
We spoke for more than 2 hours, I listened, I spoke, I felt bucket loads of empathy for the path that lies ahead for her because unlike me she still has a long lonely journey to take to give her best shot at healing her body. The thing that impressed me more than anything else was that she had done the hard yards and had found the same people who became my mentors, teachers and guides during my relatively short but intense brush with cancer.
The details are irrelevant to what I want to say but on the other hand they have sparked a desire to rekindle my desire to help those with cancer who are willing to forge ahead toward survival.
Apart from the fear, confusion, loneliness, possible helplessness and huge challenge that lays ahead for anyone who has been told that they have cancer what really matters is healing and long term survival with a strong dose of optimism thrown in for good measure. Even if it is too late to heal and survive then one’s quality of life becomes a really close second.
We live in a world where the status quo holds a place of power. Where “experts” rule the roost and demand to be listened to even if means gaslighting their patients in order to wield their power and prestige.
When one’s car breaks down most of us can feel pretty confident that they will be able to find a mechanic who will not only be able to diagnose what is wrong but more importantly to fix it. Of course there will be a price attached but most of us are willing to pay this price instead of relegating our car to the rusty graveyard of dead and decaying vehicles. The stats are generally pretty good.
Unfortunately in the world of mainstream healthcare this isn’t generally the case based on the rise in numbers of cardiovascular illness, diabetes, dementia, cancer and general ill health and obesity. Overall it takes many years for new breakthroughs to find their way into the realms of the dogmatic viewpoints of the status quo and “experts”. Covid and the world’s response to it is a testament to this observation.
The number of people succumbing to cancer worldwide is growing as are the overall deaths. I have no doubt that some lucky individuals are surviving because of new mainstream breakthroughs or early detection methods but overall the stats are not heartening.
The way I see it the way forward is a collaboration between the mainstream standard of care and the new breakthroughs of the ketogenic diet, HBOT, IVs, hot and cold therapy, exercise, fasting and anything else that has had any positive results on improving the bodies ability to fight against the cancer and either slow it down or contribute to eradicating it. If improving the bodies immune system or overall health that can also enhance the mainstream standard of care like chemo, radiation and surgery. If having a stronger and healthier body can minimise the harmful side effects of the standard of care treatments then isn’t that something to be embraced. If learning about cancer and how it proliferates and metasticizes, learning how and why a strong and healthy immune system can keep the proliferation of cancer at bay or at least slow it down can put the sufferer in a stronger position where they can take more responsibility. Aren’t these all good and positive actions that can only help?
There is nothing to lose if the mainstream oncologists start attempting to understand the alternatives and to embrace them as part of the overall treatment. Wouldn’t that make it more of a team effort. And what if the health lobbyists pressured the government to subsidise some of these alternative treatments, wouldn’t that make it better overall and even potentially save a much greater percentage of lives.”
Hi Gary,
Thank you for sharing your story and speaking up for Dr. Eng.. Indeed it’s very inspirational.
I’m a practicing pharmacist and have a passion to help people with cancer. After researching about this topic 5 years ago, my eyes were opened to the fact that cancer can be treated with alternative modalities, other than chemo, radiation and surgery.
Would love to sit down for coffee with you to hear more of your personal experiences.

Hi Tam Id love to meet sometime. I sent a message to the email tammelbourne@mail.com but it bounced, I also tried tammelbourne@gmail.com.
