An Intellectual Apocalypse : The War on Ivermectin

An intellectual apocalypse is currently being unleashed on the populace of earth driven by illogic and fear of the Covid 19 pandemic. Having said that I don’t have any doubt that a bit of fear of covid isn’t healthy but there are also many things that you can do to prepare your body for when it strikes.

People are falling for what they are being told by the mainstream media hook line and sinker. This is no reflection on the integrity or intentions of the average person, it seems that all they want to do is to survive and be protected.

We are a bit like a trusting child who relies on our father or mother for guidance, we are looking for direction, but people in the general society are quite vulnerable to accepting guidance that is not based on science, even though they are being told that it is (bona fide science).

Unfortunately, underlying this phenomena of ignorance is an unwillingness to search out and follow the actual scientific research, both historical and current. But having said that, this is understandable due to the complexity of the data. There are attempts being made via some podcasts to make the data more understandable to the lay person.

A new word has appeared in our vernacular in recent times. That word is “regulatory capture”. I believe that it’s very important to get your head around this concept. I once read that there are about 5 lobbyists for every politician in Washington.

Here’s what Wikipedia has to say.

In politics, regulatory capture (also client politics) is a form of corruption of authority that occurs when a political entity, policymaker, or regulator is co-opted (conspired) to serve the commercial, ideological, or political interests of a minor constituency, such as a particular geographic area, industry, profession, or ideological group.[1][2]

When regulatory capture occurs, a special interest is prioritized over the general interests of the public, leading to a net loss for society. The theory of client politics is related to that of rent-seeking and political failure; client politics “occurs when most or all of the benefits of a program go to some single, reasonably small interest (e.g., industry, profession, or locality) but most or all of the costs will be borne by a large number of people (for example, all taxpayers)”.

Is it possible that some of the big health agencies could have been compromised by regulatory capture?

The only people I am now willing to listen to are actual virologists, immunologists, vaccinologists and genuine scientific researchers. Geert Vanden Bossche is one such person but there are many individuals who are devoting their time and energy to supplying facts, data and potential solutions. Based on my own recent research it appears that medical bodies like the WHO, CDC, FDA, NIH, TGA have been captured by vested interests and the big pharmaceutical companies.

Geert Vanden Bossche received his DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from the University of Ghent, Belgium, and his PhD degree in Virology from the University of Hohenheim, Germany.

“Mass infection prevention and mass vaccination with leaky Covid-19 vaccines in the midst of the pandemic can only breed highly infectious variants.” Geert Vanden Bossche (check out his website and information (here).

Late last night I read an article that had been published in The Guardian stating that Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Authority (TGA)  has banned medical practitioners from prescribing ivermectin for “off label” use, such as treating Covid-19. Ivermectin is a tried and tested drug/medicine that has been used to combat parasitic infections for the past 40 years. Taken in the correct doses there are minimal side effects.

Here’s what Nature Medical Journal website has to say about ivermectin.

“Over the past decade, the global scientific community have begun to recognize the unmatched value of an extraordinary drug, ivermectin, that originates from a single microbe unearthed from soil in Japan. Work on ivermectin has seen its discoverer, Satoshi Ōmura, of Tokyo’s prestigious Kitasato Institute, receive the 2014 Gairdner Global Health Award and the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, which he shared with a collaborating partner in the discovery and development of the drug, William Campbell of Merck & Co. Incorporated. Today, ivermectin is continuing to surprise and excite scientists, offering more and more promise to help improve global public health by treating a diverse range of diseases, with its unexpected potential as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer agent being particularly extraordinary.” Read the full article here.

In April 2020 during the early stages of the current pandemic, research was done at Melbourne’s Monash University. The research was led by Dr Kylie Wagstaff and found that an anti-parasitic drug already available around the world can kill the virus within 48 hours in cell culture. Scientists showed that a single dose of the drug, Ivermectin, could stop the SARS-CoV-2 virus growing in cell culture.

Since then ivermectin has been used in many countries around the world to great effect. Countless studies have been done and there is a great deal of documentation that substantiates its effectiveness against Covid-19. (View various podcasts and interviews here)

The mainstream is now at war with ivermectin. Read the TGAs advice/policy here.

They say ” Individuals who believe that they are protected from infection by taking ivermectin may choose not to get tested or to seek medical care if they experience symptoms.” How do they know this? Did they conduct a survey? Or is it just a gut feeling that some bureaucrat has?

What I don’t understand is why anybody would attempt to regulate a medicine that seems to have a positive effect against Covid-19, based on actual studies and stats. Just look at the WHOs essential medicines list ( Page 6 and 26), ivermectin is on this essential medicine list as a medicine for ecto parasitic infections and an anti infective medicine in humans.

They say “ Secondly, the doses of ivermectin that are being advocated for use in unreliable social media posts and other sources for COVID-19 are significantly higher than those approved and found safe for scabies or parasite treatment. These higher doses can be associated with serious adverse effects, including severe nausea, vomiting, dizziness, neurological effects such as dizziness, seizures and coma.I have been taking ivermectin under medical supervision as an adjunct to my cancer treatment for the past 6 weeks with absolutely no side effects.”

If a responsible doctor prescribes it then wouldn’t they give the correct dose per weight? This happens with any medicine and 99% of people will generally take the prescribed dose! The paragraph above makes absolutely no sense. The harder the TGA make it to get the more chance of wrong doses being taken becomes a real possibility. Wouldn’t it be far better to get it from a doctor than via the internet?

The final point they make for banning doctors from prescribing ivermectin is “ Finally, there has been a 3-4-fold increased dispensing of ivermectin prescriptions in recent months, leading to national and local shortages for those who need the medicine for scabies and parasite infections. It is believed that this is due to recent prescribing and dispensing for unapproved uses, such as COVID-19.  Such shortages can disproportionately impact vulnerable people, including those in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities ”.

My question is if ivermectin has any chance of acting as a prophylactic or preventative against Covid 19 in any way and could save just one life wouldn’t it be going to good use? Taken at the correct dose there are no side effects so nothing gained, nothing lost.

There are so many things that just don’t make sense and that are open to speculation. It is like we are in an information war.

The following is a quote from Geert Vanden Bossche.

“People, no matter their names and reputation, who are not knowledgeable in the fields of immunology, virology, vaccinology and evolutionary biology/ epidemiology are, therefore, not a good source for information or advice. This particularly applies to politicians. The vast majority of them are not only scientifically illiterate but they are typically also unable or unwilling to work in a mid- or long-term perspective. Because they have no understanding whatsoever of the evolutionary dynamics of this pandemic, they simply do not understand that the rise in cases of disease currently observed in a number of European countries as well as in the US is due to enhanced circulation of more infectious variants that enjoy exceptional training as mass vaccination only increases the immune pressure exerted by the overall population. Their simplistic reasoning make them conclude that vaccinating the unvaccinated (i.e, younger age groups and children) is going to solve the problem, whereas each and every independent (!) knowledgeable expert understands that this is only going to further raise the population-level immune pressure on viral infectiousness and, therefore, promote the adaptation of additional mutations that will eventually enable full neutralization escape of circulating, highly infectious variants (Vanden Bossche, June 2021).”

You can read his whole article here. I warn you, it’s hard work but well worth the effort.

Ivermectin was produced by the huge drug company Merck until the late 90s when the patents ran out. Merck are now saying that it doesn’t work against Covid while taking billions from the US government to produce an anti-viral oral medicine that may have side effects, that won’t be fully tested and that will cost consumers a fortune. Pfizer are also working on an oral anti-viral. Just wait and see the governments emptying out the country’s coffers when these “new” drugs are available and have emergency authority.
