Vested Interests Attack Common Sense
The Press, which is mostly controlled by vested interests, has an excessive influence on public opinion. Albert Einstein
Yesterday I read a very derogatory article on an Australian Celebrity Chef who also happens to be a health blogger. The article appeared in an online newspaper called news.com.au which is owned by the conservative Murdoch Media.

I suppose that if an everyday person who trusts the status quo read this article they would think this guy was a “good looking crackpot” who had evil desires lurking to destroy society as we know it.
I personally believe this to be untrue and whatever my personal thoughts on Pete Evans are, I think he is pretty well researched with the data that he puts out, even if it’s only because he’s tried it on himself.
The fact is that the guy actually looks incredibly fit and healthy unlike a lot of mainstream doctors in our society.
What he seems to be saying is …. eat lots of good quality, well prepared organic vegetables, eat organic grass fed, humanely killed meats and eat good quality clean fats, try as hard as possible not to ingest poisonous chemicals as well as not putting them on your skin, fast a bit to give your body a rest, get a good nights sleep and do a decent amount of exercise. Also stop eating food made in factories, stop eating sugar and heavy carbohydrate dense foods that turn too sugar and stop eating most grains.
If you were a reasonable person you might look at this list and say to yourself that it seems like good advice.
Why am I concerned with what the mainstream says about people like Pete Evans?

Well, I’m a 68 year old male who 18 months ago was overweight, hooked on alcohol, had high blood pressure and was pre-diabetic, had a fatty liver and had pretty much stopped exercising and had definitely stopped looking at myself in a mirror. I was possibly on the path to an early death.
Over the past 12 months I have done all the things in the list above and not only have I lost almost 20 kgs, I have also resolved nearly all of my physical issues. I now have normal blood pressure, my pre-diabetic condition is a thing of the past, my liver is no longer fatty and I have a huge amount of energy. I don’t even mind what I look like now.
The most interesting thing about my road to health is that it actually saved me money as opposed to increasing my own financial burden and that of the Australian government.
I did what I did all by myself, I didn’t really have any need to visit GPs or mainstream health specialists apart from a few tests but really I could have even not done this.
There are a lot of people and many large corporations currently active who make a lot of money out of people being unhealthy. As well as this there are equally as many big corporations and CEO, shareholders, executives and others making money out of creating, marketing and selling products that actually decrease the overall health of our society. As a rule most of these corporations and individuals have the full support of our government.
Have we been duped?
I believe so.
I’m not going to pretend to know things that I don’t or have a scientific background but all you need to do is to look back at the history of the sugar industry and what they did to convince people that sugar was OK and fat was the real culprit that caused heart attacks to see how easy it is to manipulate a society and get the full support of the governments of the world.
When I go shopping now I don’t really need to go to Woolworths or Coles, Dan Murphy’s, the local chemist or any of the fast food outlets that are scattered in every suburban neighbourhood. All I need are a few healthy vegetables, a bit of organic, grass fed meat and bones (to make bone broth) and a few other items like coconut oil and other healthy oils plus a few other bits and pieces. I haven’t got records but I’m 90% positive that I’m saving a fortune.
I walk at least one hour a day, which is also free. We’ve had an infra red sauna few about 5 years so we use that a few times a week and then jump into our cold pool to get some hot and cold therapy (need to pay for power but it’s not that bad).
Yes, organic vegetables cost more money as does good quality meat and bones, clean oils are a bit more expensive but my overall wastage has dropped significantly and I really don’t buy anywhere near the amount of “groceries” that I have done in earlier times.
Nature never seems to get it wrong. The universe is immense and it vaguely tolerates mankind, if truth be know it probably doesn’t give a shit that we are here. If mankind disappeared tomorrow it wouldn’t really make any difference to the universe. Yet, we feel so important. We feel that the natural laws that have worked for billions of years do not apply to us.
The reason I bring this up is that the bodies that have evolved over countless millennia are subject to the natural rules of the universe, nature gets it right and if bodies are not poisoned they are self healing although they do wear out eventually.
When I say these things I am talking about life on a physical level, maybe there are a set of rules that apply to spirituality which is a whole different thing.
But having said that I believe that it’s like a big circle. I won’t speculate here about where we came from and where we are going (spiritually) but if we are fortunate enough to be born with a relatively healthy body and we live a life where we don’t poison it with chemicals, sugar, toxins and we keep it fit with basic exercise it would stand to reason that we will be happier and our attention can go onto things that are going to expand our lives as opposed to degenerating and being in pain and being ill we will do better mentally and spiritually, we might even be more compassionate towards each other.
If mankind was able to just use common sense and put the money and energy that it spends on war and treating the symptoms of self abuse …. heart disease, cancer, Type II diabetes, cardiovascular etc etc. Just imagine if this money went into improving conditions, education, the arts and creative endeavours. What could our world be like!
So, that’s my rave on the nasty article on Pete Evans. Do these people really believe that he is the harbinger of falsehoods and madness or are they only protected their own credibility and incomes?
