What’s Goin’ On?
I learned a big lesson in 2021. It goes back to some words, paraphrased here, that I heard from a philosopher back in the mid 1970s. They went something like this … The first step in handling any problem is to first be able to confront it.
The reason I’m pondering my experiences from 2021 is because this is the year that I handled cancer and yes, the very first thing that I had to do was to fully confront the disease. To look it in the eyes, to do whatever I could based on the data I had to go to battle with it in the most strategic manner that I possibly could.
My journey from a somewhat broken body to a relatively healthy one began two years earlier in early 2019. It has now been 3 years since this journey began and what I have learned along the way has not only been life changing on a physical level but also mentally and spiritually.
Underlying the journey has been a simple ability that we all have. That ability is to open your eyes to look beyond the fog at what is really happening and secondly to eke out whatever information and knowledge is available to apply to what you find.
I have discovered that it is a huge step to realize that something that you have held to be true may be wrong and that there is a better way of going about approaching whatever it is. The wonderful thing about this is that it fits with my personality. I love change, I love getting lost and finding my way home, I love discovering new things and garnering inspiration to fuel my desire to learn more.
Having access to so much data, so many new ideas, so many discussions between people I have never even met has given me the opportunity to rethink so many things. That is the wondrous beauty about being part of a conscious race of beings. Our ability to share ideas, discoveries and viewpoints. That is what makes this point in time so special. Access to the fruits of the observations and perspectives of others.
I don’t have a lot of barriers in my way to discover the ideas that appeal to me but I also have the luxury of being able to find others with opposing or new ideas that then get me thinking about issues from a different perspective.
And therein lies our biggest issue in January 2022. It certainly isn’t the virus that has embraced our attention and filled the world with fear for the past 2 years, that looks like it is coming to an end. Once again that is but a symptom of our predicament and us humans simply love treating and suppressing symptoms without ever searching for the cause. There is a deeper underlying problem, one that I have been vaguely aware of for most of my life and in some ways the search for the solution to this problem has driven my life. It is a problem of mankind collectively being unable to confront what is really happening and making decisions that will be the most productive to increasing the survival potential of humankind as a species and then all of the other miracles that have evolved over billions of years on this planet that we call home. It would appear that nature or God or natural selection or whatever name you choose to give the force that guides our collective survival presents the best possible solutions. As mankind starts messing with these systems and not confronting the consequences of their actions, of what seemed like a good idea to someone the potential is there for stepping backwards in the name of progress. Collectively as mankind we tend to have a propensity to have an impulse or an idea to do something that seems like a good idea at the time. But then we spot a flaw and instead of admitting that we may have been wrong we try to fix the mistake or its consequences which in most cases simply creates more problems. This process can easily build and build until the original transgression gets so buried that memory and knowledge of it is totally lost.
Let’s look at our current Covid 19 pandemic. Let’s just say that there were a group of scientists who felt that playing around with gain of function in regard to corona viruses was a wise path to take. Whether this was inquisitiveness or financially motivated isn’t really the point. A series of decisions must have been made to hide these actions from the world at large. Herein lies the first bending of truth. This opens the door to lies, justifications, targeting anyone who opens their mouth to expose what is going on etc. Then let’s say that due to an unfortunate mistake one of the lab workers gets infected by this novel man made virus and takes it our of the lab. The natural and basic instinct for any “living” thing is to survive and viruses have billions of years of experience in doing just this, mutating and evolving along the way with no real purpose other than to continue to exist. What would then happen if this one person infected another and through simple compounding infection a whole city became exposed to this virus and then the world. Wouldn’t the first impulse of the creators be to divert attention to another “false”cause or source. They sure as hell don’t want to cop the blame. If this was the case then everything that came next was based on a lie and the solutions that were applied would then be attenuated by solving problems on the basis of incorrect raw data. A husband who cheats on his wife will go to any lengths to withhold his transgressions and he will also generally get more vicious in his responses as he wonders if anyone has found out. In actual fact he will probably attempt to destroy the credibility of those who he suspects might know even a partial amount of truth.
Let’s then speculate that the people who were messing with the virus were part of a larger community of scientists, big business, commercial interests and even watchdog groups. Wouldn’t they then be tempted to firstly look at how they could use these connections to cover their own asses and then to take a look at how they could use the circumstances to their own advantage, in terms of power and finances. This is just flawed human nature, which unfortunately is on the blink and results in more and more problems the further it departs from the truth.
I’m not going to speculate too much here but I find it rather strange that the overall narrative tends to negate many tried and tested re-purposed drugs and simple supplements (like VitD, zinc, VitC) that have the potential to protect people from being ravaged by covid.
The biggest issue as far as I am concerned is our loss of the right to share our ideas and discoveries. The censorship is frightening, the fact that respectable scientists can be de-platformed from social media for have contrary viewpoints to the WHO and CDC is abhorrent. The fact that my friends sometimes won’t discuss issues on the phone for fear of being targeted is frightening. As I said earlier I believe our biggest asset as a species is our ability to share, to communicate openly, to inspire each other, to explore and speak bravely and compassionately to anyone who is willing to listen. This basic right is now being seriously threatened by censorship and mass hysteria. The mainstream narrative has taken to labelling anything that challenges the contrived account as misinformation framed by conspiracy theorists who are also bloody anti-vaxxers who probably shoot up horse paste in their spare time! The narrative has been rammed down people’s throats to the point where they believe every word, no matter how dumb and full of lies and contradictions that those words are.
